Speaking Skills: How to Make the Most of Your English

A One-day Workshop

Learn to:

• Use your voice more effectively,
• How and what to say in a variety of important conversational situations,
• Ask and answer questions.

Program Objective

The seminar will help participants to refresh their present English speaking and ability and increase their confidence in a variety of important situations.

Course Content

Through lectures, examples and practice, participants will learn and practice:
Pronunciation, Conversation Techniques, Question and Answer Skills

Pronunciation

Using your voice and speaking clearly will create a strong and favorable impression. Participants will be shown and given an opportunity to practice a wide variety of exercises designed to improve their speaking voice.

Conversation Techniques

Knowing what to say and how to say it is an important skill.
Participants will be shown and given an opportunity to practice replying to invitations, requests, good and bad news and how to close a conversation.

Questions and Answers

Being able to ask effective questions or to answer both easy and difficult questions is an important skill needed socially and professionally.
Participants will be shown how and given an opportunity to ask and answer a variety of useful questions.

Course Design

Each section will include: mini-lectures, use of examples and exercises.
